Day 17: Plant-Based Period

For all you ladies out there, living a plant-based lifestyle comes with yet another perk--less menstrual symptoms.

While I didn't have many symptoms before, my whole body aches this time around. I found that getting your period while eating plant-based relieves almost all symptoms; however, incorporating the smallest amount of caffeine (which I do daily), magnifies other symptoms.
I know, you're not supposed to consume caffeine during this time, but I always have. Perhaps I am a glutton for punishment.

Be aware that a healthy body will latch onto anything you put into your body, which is why caffeine has a stronger reaction during your periods. Is it safer to just avoid your daily dose? Probably, but not if you don't want a migraine instead of less-crippling side effects.
